The Center for Sacred Vocation.

Introduction

The Center for Sacred Vocation respects your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your sensitive information. This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) is an agreement between you and The Center for Sacred Vocation and its affiliates, corporate parent(s), and subsidiaries (collectively “The Center for Sacred Vocation,” “us,” “our,” or “we”) while accessing and using our products or services, including our websites (including SacredVocation.com social media pages, channels, related applications across any devices and platforms, and any other The Center for Sacred Vocation online presence (collectively, the “Services”), and is governed by and part of The Center for Sacred Vocation’s Terms of Use.

Personal Information

As used in this Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means information that specifically identifies an individual (e.g., a name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, username, or credit card number), or information about that individual that is directly linked to personally identifiable information. Personal Information does not include (a) aggregate information, meaning data we collect about your use of the Services or about a group or category of services or users, from which individual identities or other Personal Information has been removed, or (b) de-identified information that cannot be easily linked back to the individual.

This Privacy Notice describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing your Personal Information, as well as Personal Information we collect as a result of your interactions with The Center for Sacred Vocation via telephone, mail, or in person at our physical locations.

Consent


By accessing or using the Services, creating a The Center for Sacred Vocation user profile, visiting our events, or submitting Personal Information to The Center for Sacred Vocation, you consent to this Privacy Notice and the collection and use of your Personal Information as described below. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you may not be able to access or benefit from certain portions of the Services.

Scope

This Privacy Notice applies to information that we collect:

  • When you access or use the Services.
  • When you visit our events.
  • When you submit your information to us.
  • When you create or use a user profile.
  • When we communicate with you through email and other means.
  • Through third parties that we work with to provide our services.
  • By any other means over the course of your access or use of the Services.


This Privacy Notice does not apply to information collected about you in any other way, including through mobile applications, content, or websites not operated by The Center for Sacred Vocation.

Lawful Basis

We will only collect your Personal Information (a) when applicable, with your consent, or (b) if we have a legitimate interest in doing so. If we collect or use your Personal Information based on your consent, we will also notify you of any changes and request your further consent as needed.

Children’s Privacy

The Center for Sacred Vocation recognizes the need to provide additional privacy protections with respect to Personal Information of children. We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under 16 without obtaining consent from the child’s parent or guardian. Generally, registration for The Center for Sacred Vocation Services is only available to those age 16 or older. If a child under age 16 wishes to register on the Services, The Center for Sacred Vocation requests that the child’s parent or guardian provide consent before the child registers. If you are under 16 and your parent or guardian has not completed our registration and consent process, The Center for Sacred Vocation instructs you not to use the Services, including its interactive or public comment features, make purchases or donations through the Services, or otherwise provide us with any Personal Information.

The Center for Sacred Vocation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and therefore is exempt from the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Nevertheless, we value the privacy of children who may find our content informational. All provisions of this Privacy Notice apply to all users of the Services, including children. Younger visitors should always check with their parents or guardians before sharing information on any website or mobile application, and we encourage families to discuss household guidelines regarding online sharing of Personal Information.

If you believe that The Center for Sacred Vocation may have information from or about a child under 16 without parent or guardian consent, or if you wish to review or request deletion of the Personal Information we have about your child, please contact us at lavonda@sacredvocation.com.

How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

When you access or use our Services or visit our events, we collect certain Personal Information from you, including:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically as you navigate the Services.
  • From third parties, including third-party websites.

Please note that some offers, services, and portions of our Services may only be accessible to you if you register with us. You may limit the information you provide to the minimum necessary to receive our services. However, if you refuse to give us your Personal Information, or later withdraw your consent, we may not be able to communicate with you or provide our services.

Information You Provide to Us

  • Contact Information – We collect information you provide through electronic forms or in-person interactions, including your name, age, telephone number, e-mail address, and address. We may use this information to register you for our Services, verify age, send newsletters, and provide information, products, and services.
  • User Generated Material – You may post content such as written material, photos, or videos on our Services. This content is voluntary, and we may retain records and copies of correspondence.
  • Payment Information – Donations can be made via PCI-compliant third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) and other services (Google Pay, Apple Pay). We do not store payment information, but we may keep transaction records to ensure your donation is used as requested. In-person donations (checks, stocks, bonds, mutual funds) may also be recorded for accounting and tax documentation purposes.
  • In-Person Information – At events, we may collect attendance and other forms relevant to the purpose of the event.

Automatic Data Collection

We use automatic data collection technologies to monitor user behavior and improve the Services. This may include:

  • Log Files – Anonymous information about your device, IP address, operating system, browser type, and usage patterns.
  • Emails – Tracking codes may be used to monitor engagement.
  • Cookies – We use cookies to track your use of our Services. Please see our Cookie Notice for details.


We may combine automatically collected information with other Personal Information you provide

Social Media

We may track users from social media sites (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter) to measure engagement. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

Other Ways We May Use Your Information

We may use your Personal Information to:

  • Develop and improve our products and services.
  • Provide you with requested information, products, or services.
  • Fulfill obligations and enforce agreements.
  • Notify you about updates or changes.
  • Protect rights, property, and safety.
  • Any other purposes disclosed when you provide the information or with your consent.

You may opt out of online behavioral advertising as described in “Opting Out of Communications.”

Disclosure of Your Information

The Center for Sacred Vocation does not sell your Personal Information. We may share Personal Information with:

  • Subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Contractors, service providers, and payment processors.
  • Successors in the event of merger, sale, or restructuring.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google Analytics.
  • As required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety

Aggregate Information

We may share de-identified or aggregated information freely; it does not identify you personally.

Controlling Your Personal Information

You have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your Personal Information.
  • Limit processing where applicable.
  • Request data portability in certain circumstances.

California Privacy Rights

As a nonprofit, The Center for Sacred Vocation is generally exempt from the CCPA/CPRA, but we may comply when required under contracts. California residents may request:

  • Categories of Personal Information collected and shared.
  • List of third parties with which information is shared.
  • Instructions to not sell Personal Information.
  • Equal service regardless of privacy rights exercised.

Opting Out of Communications

You may unsubscribe or modify preferences for email or direct mail at any time by contacting lavonda@sacredvocation.com or using links in our emails.

Do Not Track Signals

The Center for Sacred Vocation does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals. Standard tracking technologies may still be used.

U.S. Privacy Laws

Our Services are operated in the U.S. Information collected may be transferred to U.S. servers. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer and processing.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable safeguards to protect your Personal Information, including encryption, secure storage, and secure payment processing. You are responsible for safeguarding your passwords and using secure devices

Third Party Services & Advertising

We are not responsible for privacy practices of external websites linked from our Services. Review third-party privacy notices before sharing information.

Terms of Use

Our Terms of Use govern all matters not addressed in this Privacy Notice.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Notice. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of changes.
